Youth Mental Health First Aid (MHFA) is First Aid for youth's experiencing emotional or mental distress, including support for youths experiencing suicidal feelings. It is aimed at saving lives, improving responses to those in distress and to making our society more compassionate. Youth MHFA is an Internationally acclaimed training course and is accredited in the UK by the Royal Society for Public Health.
As a parent, guardian, or someone who works with young people, you are often the first to notice when a young person is experiencing emotional distress. The Youth MHFA course gives you the tools and confidence to step in and provide support.
Our commitment to your learning extends far beyond the training room. After completing the Youth MHFA course, you’ll be invited to join England’s first and only membership body for Mental Health First Aiders, the Association of Mental Health First Aiders®, providing you with continuous learning opportunities and a support network to help you in your role.
Please note, we aim to keep our courses at affordable prices in order to provide training opportunities for those working and volunteering within the local not-for-profit sector of Bracknell Forest and Wokingham Borough.
This is thanks to ongoing funding from our Local Authorities, which means specific criteria must be applied to our attendees. If you are unsure whether you will be eligible to attend, please contact us before purchasing a ticket.
