CLASSICAL DRAWING I with Michela Mansuino
Youth Class Ages 8-12
Saturdays Jan 17- Mar 7 | 12:30-2:30pm
This beginner drawing course develops strong drawing and observational skills in serious young artists. Students will master three essential foundations: creating the envelope, separating light from shadow, and using the five-value scale. Working with charcoal on toned paper and simple still-life objects under a single light source, participants will practice perspective and proportion while learning to see and articulate the monumental shapes of light and shadow, create depth, and understand tonal relationships.
INSTRUCTOR BIO: Michela Mansuino teaches youth and adult classes at The Arts of Great Falls and at Studio Incamminati's Human Realist Program in Philadelphia, where she studied. CLASS DATES: Every other weekend: 1/17, 1/31, 2/14, 2/28, 3/14. Makeup date if needed on 3/28.
