Yoga Sport - Intermediate Ghosh Lineage Yoga
Join us in person for an Intermediate Ghosh Lineage Yoga practice led by Alyssa Quintanar and Terrel Harris. This class is designed for practitioners who are familiar with foundational postures of 26&2 who are ready to deepen strength, clarity, and consistency in their practice.
Yoga Sport is a 90-minute, 55-posture dynamic practice rooted in the Ghosh lineage. The class explores all movements of the spine, including forward bends, backbends, traction, and twists, and introduces lifts and one inversion, shoulder stand. The practice builds from the classic 26 postures and 2 breathing exercises while expanding beyond them to support growth in strength, mobility, balance, and focus.
This class invites practitioners to experience yoga as a sport in a focused, supportive, and energizing environment. Emphasis is placed on precision, steady progression, and personal exploration rather than performance. The atmosphere is welcoming and encouraging, offering space to challenge yourself while staying connected to breath and awareness.
This practice uses a yoga strap and two blocks for some postures. These props are available at the studio, or you may bring your own.
This class is accessible to all levels with prior yoga experience and is especially supportive for those interested in Yoga Sport training or refining their Ghosh lineage practice.
This class will be warm, but not heated like a traditional hot studio. Dress comfortably for movement rather than heat.
