Year 9 GCSE Options Evening

An opportunity to attend GCSE options evening for Year 9 stuents and parents/carers on Tuesday 20th January. The evening will give you an introductory overview of the Y9 Options process and the opportunity to visit all of the GCSE subjects which are studied in Year 10 and 11. The evening will take place in the new C-block dining hall and sports hall at the back of the school. Presentations will be taking place in the C-block sports hall and subject stalls are open in the dining hall from 5pm until 7.30pm.

We will be sharing information on:

• How to pick courses,.
• Which courses can be chosen, and which are mandatory.
• Where to find information to help with decisions.
• Advice on how to make good decisions.
• How to complete and submit the online options form.

There will be an opportunity to ask questions to subject teachers, and for students who might access level 1 courses, the SEND department will also be available on the evening to speak with.
