Yarn Dye Adventure & Sock Blank Class

Hands-on Dye Class

Cost: $45

Instructors: Carole Wurst & J. Wurst

Fee covers instruction, handouts, and a dyeable hank of yarn or a sock blank containing enough yarn for a complete matching pair of socks.

Class instruction includes methods of dyeing a sock blank to achieve patterns like stripes or “Instant Fairisle.”

Natural organic dyes will be discussed but the dye used in class will be a non-toxic kitchen dye and/or Landscape (brand) professional acid dyes.

Sock blank techniques such as creating stripes, polka dots, or stained glass patterns will be taught.

Attendees will go home with dyed yarn or a dyed sock blank.
