For youth 13-19, a creative supportive writing space to reflect and share about your experiences with the LA wildfires and climate change.

This is a generative, interactive creative writing poetry workshop for teens and youth to process, express, write, and share their responses to the LA wildfires.

Led by experienced Certified Poet-Teacher Nancy Lynee Woo, it is a supportive and nurturing, non-judgmental space for youth to reflect and create. All experience levels welcome. Notebooks and pens will be provided.

Don't feel like writing? Collage materials will also be available to create found poems using art and magazines.

Please email nancywoowriter@gmail.com with any questions.

Sponsored by California Poets in the Schools. This workshop is a part of a series that will culminate in a printed anthology. All youth can be published!

(Can't make this one? Join us for another in the series on Jan. 3, 2026, from 1:30-3:30 pm at Altadena Main Library, 600 E. Mariposa St., Altadena CA 91001)
