World Book Day Scavenger Hunt

Can you search the library and find everything on the scavenger hunt list as we celebrate World Book Day and the National Year of Reading?

• Independent Activity: Pick up a scavenger hunt worksheet and find books that fit into the categories, maybe even borrow a book or two?
• Guess who?: Can you guess which book characters our library staff are dressed up as? Join in the fun and come in costume (not a requirement)
• Can you find me?: Search the library and amongst the books to find what’s hidden?

This event is great for:

- Celebrating the books and the love of reading this World Book Day

- Connecting families across generations by encouraging reading together

- Engaging in the National Year of Reading

- Discovering what our libraries offer

Time: 10:30am - 1:00pm

Date: Thursday 5th March 2026

Age: All ages (Please note: children must be accompanied by an adult at all times)

Booking: This is a drop-in event, so booking is not required. If you do choose to book a ticket, please be aware that it does not guarantee you a space. Participation will be allocated on a first come, first served basis.
