World Book Day – Poetry Portraits with Kimberly Whittam

Celebrate World Book Day 2026 with our author and illustrator series at Grimm & Co.

Meet local author/illustrator Kimberly Whittam!

Using Quiet Storm as the inspiration, she will guide children on a fun journey to explore writing as a way to boost confidence and express themselves.

Together, they will discover the power of words and create their very own self-portrait poems, which they will turn into a T-shirt they can wear proudly.

A fun, hands-on way to write, imagine, and celebrate who they are.

Kimberly will leave time for a public book signing in the Apothecary shop after this session and her books will be available for purchase on the day.

This session is for children aged 7-13 years old but children under 18 years eligible to attend.

Tickets are required for each young person.
Parents/carers must stay with their child child for the duration of this session.
