Women of the World Orchestra London

An exciting programme from the Women of the World Orchestra featuring women musicians from around the world including Syria, Iran, Palestine,Hongkong, India, Ukraine, middle-East, north Africa, Venezuela and the UK.

Also featuring guest artists 'A World in London' Dj Ritu and ghazal singer Najma Akhtar.

Drawing on Middle Eastern, Indian, Iranian, Chinese, North African and Palestinian musical

traditions, the orchestra weaves song, rhythm and instrumental music into a rich collective live performance. Each musician brings their own cultural heritage and musical language, creating a sound that is grounded, expressive and deeply connected.

ShivaNova has been creating cross-cultural music projects for over three decades, with a focus on collaboration, listening and community. This concert reflects that approach, offering an intimate yet powerful experience where traditions meet, voices come together, and music is shared across cultures.
