Get ready to immerse yourself in a unique sensory experience blending sound baths and art installations at the WINTER Sound Garden on 1/25

Experience the Winter Sound Garden, a seasonal, living meditation created by Erica Nguyễn, founder of the Sound Healing Project. This immersive gathering blends sound baths, art installations, and community ritual into one multisensory experience designed to awaken the body, mind, and spirit.

Each Sound Garden is a collaboration between sound, nature, and art — a space to pause, feel, and reconnect. The Winter Sound Garden marks the closing chapter of our year-round Sound Garden series, a culmination of everything this project has cultivated. We’ll gather the collaborators and community who have been part of this journey for one final, full-circle experience. The space will be adorned with living art installations of seasonal flowers, vibrant plants, and abundant fruits — each element carefully curated to reflect the natural bounty and stillness of Winter. Every detail is an invitation to attune to Earth’s rhythms and the quiet renewal this season brings.

Expect a rich evening featuring:

Sound Bath by Erica Nguyen
Evening Tea Drinking Ritual by Chris Giang
Breathwork by Deni Slehiman
Asian Women-owned Local Vendor: Good Intentions Candles by Abby Phung — a complimentary gift for each participant
Fresh Juices provided by the W Hotel

Bios:

Chris Giang, Tea Ritualist

Chris Giang (exteeng) is a multimedia sensory artist and data scientist based in Oakland, CA. Her work brings together tea, flowers, incense, ceramics, and sound to create immersive environments.

Working through spatial design and interdisciplinary collaboration, she focuses on how sensory details shape attention and experience. For this event, she will share her tea practice as a form of ritual, supporting shared presence and rest.

Deni Slehiman, Breathwork Facilitator

Blending her work as an artist, educator, and ceremonialist, Deni infuses her practice with extensive training in breathwork, meditation, and trauma-informed movement therapy, alongside wisdom learned from Mexican and Amazonian traditions.

Abby Phung, Founder of Good Intentions

Good Intentions is a women-owned, nontoxic candle brand creating intentional products and hosting candle-making experiences that center wellness, creativity, and community.

A Seasonal Ritual: More than an event, the Winter Sound Garden is a collective ritual ~ a time to:

  • Honor endings as fertile ground for new beginnings
  • Experience the resonance of sound as a tool for inner clearing
  • Deepen your connection to the rhythms of nature
  • Compost old stories and tend to the garden within

Logistics:

  • Doors open: 30 minutes before for quiet reflection and exploration of installations
  • What to bring: Yoga mat, blanket, pillows, eye mask, and journal (optional) — and an open heart ready to let go.

Our commitment to sustainability and community remains at the heart of this experience, with all florals and botanicals locally sourced and seasonally inspired.

If cost is a barrier, please reach out. Sliding scale and volunteer options are available so all who feel called may join.
