Join us at Happy Days Lodge to enjoy an evening with Abstract Sounds. This Cleveland-based ensemble is led by saxophonist Jevaughn Bogard and brings an alternative jazz fusion sound.

The band formed in late 2021 from a collection of jazz and dance music lovers. Abstract Sounds mixes deep harmony and dance. If you like a powerhouse horn section, this concert is for you.

Abstract Sounds is a jazz-fusion and funk ensemble from Cleveland, Ohio, created by saxophonist and bandleader Jevaughn Bogard. Built around a powerful horn section and a rhythm section that won’t let you stay in your seat, the band’s mission is simple: bring the dance element back to jazz. Their sound blends infectious funk grooves, dance-club energy, and rich, extended harmonies that completely draw listeners in.

Jevaughn Bogard has been blessed to share the stage with an impressive roster of legendary artists, including Aretha Franklin, Chick Corea, Benny Golson, Tye Tribbett, Kim Burrell, Big Daddy Kane, and Deitrick Haddon, among many others. His experience across jazz, gospel, funk, and pop adds a wide musical vocabulary to Abstract Sounds’ signature style.

Fans of Michael Jackson, Stevie Wonder, The Bee Gees, Jill Scott, Snarky Puppy, and Herbie Hancock will feel right at home at an Abstract Sounds performance. Paired with a dynamic collection of original music written by Jevaughn, each concert is curated to move the body and touch the soul.
