Wild Hedgehog Rehabilitation - Introductory Module

Join us in person for this session with our Trainer who runs her own licenced Hedgehog Rescue.

You will learn a broad range of information about Hedgehogs, not limited to;

• The legal aspects of Hedgehog rescue
• The risks to you and the Hedgehog when they are handled
• How to assess if a Hedgehog needs help and how to find a rescue
• How to provide initial First Aid
• When to go straight to a Vet even if it's out of hours
• Parasites affecting Hedgehogs
• Environmental hazards affecting Hedgehogs
• How to support Hedgehogs in your local area and/or garden

Further to the training course, you will be invited to Hogwatch Dumbarton Hedgehog Rescue at a mutually agreed time, to enable us to demonstrate the safe handling of a Hedgehog during the routine care of one of our patients.
