Whole House Plan: Your Retrofit Journey

This experience-led in-person session focuses on what happens after the Whole House Plan is done, drawing on a real retrofit journey that included internal wall insulation, external works, new windows, and solar panel installation.

Rather than thinking about this in the abstract, this session shares honest reflections, practical decisions, and lived experience from delivery on the ground.

In this session, our guest speaker Helen Freudenberg will talk through:

• Moving from a retrofit plan to real-world decisions
• Self-delivered work vs working with contractors
• Internal wall insulation: choices, challenges, and outcomes
• Working with installers on external insulation, windows, and solar PV
• What went wrong, what went right, and what they would do differently

The session will include images from the project, including thermal imaging showing performance improvements after insulation.

There will be plenty of time for questions and discussion.
