Join us to REASSEMBLE the fragments through food and fiber!

Weaving Culture: A Textile & Dining Workshop

Weaving Culture is a special programme within the exhibition Hold It Together As We Fall Apart. The workshop invites participants to explore how culture is formed, woven, dissolved, reorganised, and expressed through the simple acts of making and sharing food.

Led by artist Amy Hsu Tzu Chen and curator Neal Yang, the session combines textile making with a small tasting of nuts, dried fruits, and other light snacks. Through these materials, we will reflect on how fragments of memory, identity, and daily life can come together and create new forms of connection.

No previous experience with textiles is required. All materials will be provided.

What You Will Experience

  • A guided textile making session with Amy Hsu Tzu Chen
  • Light snacks such as nuts and dried fruits support reflection on cultural memory
  • A space to think about how cultures intertwine and reshape themselves
  • All tools and materials provided
  • A calm and personal evening suitable for both beginners and experienced makers
