A community-centered winter experience! A full day of skiing and snowboarding for first timers and returning riders.

We Outside: MLK Snow Day is an intentional way to begin the year outside, together.

Martin Luther King Jr. Day is often framed around service and reflection. We believe joy, rest, and movement are also part of the work. This day is about gathering in community, getting outside in winter, and making space for connection in a way that feels accessible, affirming, and grounded.

This experience is beginner friendly and community centered. You do not need prior skiing or snowboarding experience to participate. Whether this is your first time on the slopes or you are returning after years away, you will be supported. Many people come solo. You will not be the only one.

We Outside created MLK Snow Day as a way to start the year rooted in togetherness rather than pressure. Expect shared movement, encouragement, laughter, and the feeling of doing something meaningful with others. This is not about performance. It is about presence.

This year, we are partnering with Corbeau Snowsports, a Cincinnati-based, historically Black ski and snowsports organization connected to a national network of African American ski clubs. Corbeau members will be on site throughout the day offering beginner friendly guidance and steady encouragement on the slopes.

A portion of each ticket directly supports Corbeau Snowsports youth programming. This is our way of honoring MLK Day through service that lasts, helping ensure the next generation has access to winter sports, skill building, and outdoor spaces that have not always felt welcoming.

We are keeping things simple with one ticket option. Your ticket includes:

  • Lift access
  • Rentals
  • Instruction
  • We Outside planning and facilitation that make the day feel smooth and welcoming

*Food and personal purchases are handled individually at the lodge.
