Waypoint Escape: Dover to Folkestone 13km Hike + Brewery + Pizza (Ages 20s-40s)

Waypoint Crew is London’s close-knit, adventure-loving community for like-minded legends in their 20s–40s. Think epic hikes, big laughs, and well-earned pints with great people.

This Waypoint Escape takes us along a stunning stretch of the Saxon Shore Way, hiking from Dover to Folkestone before finishing exactly where we belong - beers and pizza at Brewing Brothers Beachside in Folkestone Harbour. Coastal views, fresh sea air, and a proper reward at the end. 🍕🍺

• Date: Saturday 21st March, 2023
• Meet: 10:15am at Dover Train Station - train arriving at 10:13am from London
• Hike Start: 10:40am
• Finish: ~3:30pm at Brewing Brothers Beachside, Folkestone Harbour
• Distance: 13km / ~8 miles
• Time on trail: ~4 hours
• Grade: Moderate (expect some steep hills)
• Route: Point-to-point

🥾 Your Guides

Beth – Founder of Waypoint Crew and qualified Lowland Leader. Beth loves countryside adventures that finish with a cold pint and built Waypoint Crew as a space for people who love adventure and a laugh.

Jon – A total legend and regular at Waypoint events. Recently qualified as a Lowland Leader with Mountain Training, Jon helps lead hikes and makes sure everyone has an amazing day outdoors.

🕙 Schedule

10:15am - Meet at Dover Train Station
Trains run regularly from London. Come say hi and meet your crew.

10:40am – Hike begins at 11:00am sharp. Running late? Drop a message in the WhatsApp group.

1:00pm (ish) – Picnic lunch
Bring your own packed lunch.

3:30pm – Brewery time

We finish at Brewing Brothers Beachside where we’ve reserved space for drinks and pizza by the sea. Please let us know if you’d like to order a pizza - all pizzas must be pre-ordered, and we’ll be in touch with menu options.
