Watercolour Painting Workshop – Line and Wash
Have you already started painting in watercolours, and are looking for more instruction and guidance? This Watercolour Workshop will focus on Line and Wash – a technique that combines some simple line drawing and washes of watercolour. If you have attended one of my workshops before, please note that the content of this workshop will be different, and aims to further develop skills and techniques in this style.
The workshop will be held at the beautiful Fisherton Mill in Salisbury. All painting materials will be provided for the session. Tea, coffee, soft drinks and cakes are also available to order from the Fisherton Mill Gallery Café during the workshop, and there is a generous 20% discount available on the excellent lunch menu, should you wish to stay for lunch.
Come along for a wonderful morning of fun, relaxation and mindfulness!
If you have any questions regarding the workshop, please do not hesitate to reach out to me at hksoriginals@gmail.com, or find me on instagram @hksoriginals.
A little bit about me
Many members of my family have enjoyed creative pursuits. For my granny it was oil painting, for my grandpa it was woodwork and sculpture. My dad loved to draw and paint and my mum had endless projects on the go from sewing and knitting, to embroidery and rug making, from patchwork quilting to upholstery. Growing up, I tried many things and I loved learning new skills.
There followed a wonderful career in teaching, six years in the UK and thirty three years overseas, the vast majority of which was in Singapore. Now retired, I have returned to England and settled in Salisbury.
Three years ago, I began to paint with watercolours and I was smitten from the very start. Self-taught, I've sold paintings and cards at craft fairs, painted many one-off commissions for wedding presents and gifts, and opened my Etsy Shop.
Now I hope to inspire others to embrace their creative side and enjoy the wonderful world of watercolour!
