Magor and Undy Community Hub - Wassail
Come join us for a joyous celebration! Our Wassail event is at the Magor and Undy Community Hub and is a perfect way to embrace the winter spirit. Enjoy a performance from Morris Dancers before storyteller, Christine Watkins will be the 'Apple Queen' leading the parade/hullabaloo/tree blessing part and Katie Bachelor (fiddle player) will be performing traditional songs and dance music of Gwent.
Dress warmly and be ready to raise your voices and glasses to the health of our apple trees. Let's come together in festive cheer at this wonderful community gathering! Please bring a pot/pan to bang on to ward away the evil spirits! The evening will finish off inside listening to the Ukulele band.
Event is being run in conjunction with the Living Levels and their funding from the National Lottery Heritage Fund.
Please be aware this event is being held outside, with some areas being uneven and unfortunately therefore not suitable for pushchairs/wheelchairs.
Ensure suitable footwear is worn and we recommend you bring a torch/head torch.
Adult tickets entitle two cups of mulled cider (tickets not required for accompanied children for whom soft drinks will be available).
