Wakespeare For Kids: Stanley Library

As part of the Wakespeare project run by Empath Theatre we are inviting residents from the Wakefield district to join us in developing scenes for a new play.

Inspired by Shakespeare but with a definite Wakefield twist scenes could see Hamlet set in the supermarket or Romeo & Juliet meeting in secret at Stanley Nature Reserve.

Our sessions for young people (aged 7-11) will allow participants to learn a little more about Shakespeare while enjoying some drama games and maybe finding out a few fun Shakespearean insults along the way!

The workshops will also give the opportunity for everyone to get involved in the project.

Parents and guardians are requested to stay in the library for the duration of the session - but only book tickets for the children who will be attending.
