As part of the Wakespeare project run by Empath Theatre we are inviting residents from the Wakefield district to join us in developing scenes for a new play.
Inspired by Shakespeare but with a definite Wakefield twist scenes could see Hamlet set in the supermarket or Romeo & Juliet meeting in secret at The Hut.
Our sessions for young people (aged 7-11) will allow participants to learn a little more about Shakespeare while enjoying some drama games and maybe finding out a few fun Shakespearean insults along the way!
The workshops will also give the opportunity for everyone to get involved in the project in whatever role from acting to directing, from writing to lighting there are many choices.
Come along to this session and find out more there is also the opportunity to join other sessions across the district.
Parents and guardians are requested to stay in the library for the duration of the session
