We will study the history of yoga philosophy as a means to help us reduce our experience of suffering and feel better in everyday life.

This intensive, led by Kate Holcombe, will focus on the history of yoga philosophy as a means to help us reduce our experience of suffering and feel better in everyday life.

It will explore the differences between yoga philosophy and Hinduism, and how these two distinct philosophical systems have become confused and enmeshed over time.

Kate Holcombe is widely recognized among yoga teachers as an authority, particularly on the practical application of Patanjali’s yoga sutra. She is a Yoga Alliance E-RYT certified yoga teacher trainer, an IAYT certified yoga therapist, a contributing editor for Yoga Journal magazine, and a guest lecturer for the University of San Francisco department of philosophy.

This workshop is appropriate for yoga enthusiasts of all levels and will include both lecture and discussion.
