Underground Railroad Night Hike

Follow the drinking gourd to refuge!

Join us at the Outdoor Activity Center on February 20 at 6 PM on this unique night hike as we reenact experiences on the Underground Railroad.

Led by Ayinde Summers, we will collectively envision the Outdoor Activity Center as it was before 1863, where Africans in bondage would have sought fugitivity from violent nearby plantations of what is now Oakland City and Adair Park neighborhoods.

This is an intense hike. If you are planning to bring children, please consider their comfort before registering.
