About - On Saturday 18th July the ‘Under the Bridge’ Project, invites you to join our third ‘Under the Bridge Walking Music Festival 2026’.

Led by participants of the ‘Under the Bridge’ Project, we will be taking audiences on an exciting 5-mile walk alongside bluewater spaces with musical performances along the way, resulting in a grand finale performance from our very own ‘Under the Bridge Choir’ at Trent Valley Sailing Club.

Ticket-holders will experience an array of musical talent, showcasing their original music and some sing-a-long cover songs for audiences to join in with. With each Bridge harboring its own unique acoustic qualities, the sonic experiences of the day is set to be immersive.

Once completing the walk, groups will be invited to take in the beautiful surroundings of the Trent Valley Sailing Club whilst learning about the heritage of the site and the opportunity to take part in a range of activities by the water. Groups are welcome to enjoy refreshments on sale at the Sailing Club while awaiting the headliner performance of our ‘Under the Bridge Choir’.

Tickets - Tickets are now live for 3 staggered group walk times - all of which will culminate at the Trent Valley Sailing Club for the final performance from the ‘Under the Bridge Choir’.

Tickets are donate-what-you-can with all ticket revenue going directly towards supporting future ‘Under the Bridge’ sessions.

Parking - Although The Farm Shop Long Eaton has kindly let us use their premises as a starting location, people are encouraged to either come down on foot or to park at the Long Eaton Train Station.

Distance - In total, we have mapped out the entire route of the ‘Under the Bridge Walking Music Festival’ to be 4 miles. The terrain is relatively flat with only 2 or 3 stiles to navigate. We urge people taking part to wear suitable footwear, bring along a bottle of water, snacks, and wear appropriate clothing in line with the weather forecast of the day (You could also bring a chair!)

Please do bare in mind that the event finishes at the Trent Valley Sailing Club, from which people will have to make their own way back to either their homes or their vehicles.

Dogs - Well-behaved Dogs are welcome to join us on the walk

About the Project - The Under the Bridge project is a men's group that explores the positive mental health impacts of spending time in Blue Spaces. Established in the Spring of 2022, the project has been delivering weekly sessions in, on, and around water.

Collaboratively led by Nottingham C.A.N & Bluetonic, the origins of the project were born out of the accelerating rise in mental health statistics, and the enforced impact of isolation felt from the Covid-19 Pandemic. The core aim of our project is to empower participants to connect with the natural surroundings with a focus on blue spaces, promoting togetherness, strengthening support circles, and developing confidence all whilst exploring creativity and forming new support networks...
