Two by Jim Cartwright is a darkly funny, tender and painfully recognisable portrait of love, loneliness and quiet desperation.
Set in a Northern pub over the course of one evening, the play centres on a landlord and landlady whose relationship is quietly unravelling, alongside a procession of regulars who reveal their own hopes, heartbreaks and need for connection.
Funny one moment and quietly devastating the next, Two is a beautifully observed two-hander by one of Britain’s most respected contemporary playwrights.
This intimate production by The Green Room Productions puts language, performance and emotional truth front and centre — no gimmicks, just honest storytelling.
