Theatre and Singapore History
How can we narrate history through theatre? What can theatre tell us about Singapore’s history? The NUS Singapore History Prize will host the forum, “Theatre and Singapore History”, a panel discussion that will explore the intersections between theatre and history. Join us in looking at Singapore’s theatre history and how theatre practitioners work with history. From fictional and speculative histories that capture the spirit of the past to family and personal biographies that reflect national history, the panel will trace the stories told on stage and delve into the panelists’ creative processes and approaches.
