The Space Poetic Open Mic & Gallery

Celebrate all things poetry with us on the last Wednesday of the month!

The Space Poetic is a hybrid poetry gallery and open mic in Manchester’s Northern Quarter; part attempt to bring written and spoken poetry together, part community building project it is, and always will be, free to attend.

Poets have the option to send up to 3 poems for inclusion in the night’s gallery, as well as read for up to 5 minutes. Poem’s are printed on A3, framed, and displayed around the venue, and audience members and other contributors have time before and after the performances to browse the gallery. Some poets choose only to read/perform or only to display work, some choose both.

We're open to all poets, and creative writers (we’ve also had some story writers, visual artists, and photographers!), who’d like to join. This is a safe space for sharing, nurturing, and growth. This community is open to anyone with a love for art and the humans who make it.
