The Sesa Salon is a space for young adults of African ancestry to explore the rich history and philosophies from the continent and diaspora. Our aim is to empower and inspire participants by shining a light on the achievements of those who came before us.

Event Overview:
This gathering is about learning the history of the Black Panther Party, their achievements & impact. Through presentations, documentary excerpts and open discussion, we will explore the key principles that shaped the movement, including themes from the Ten-Point Program & consider how they can be used to respond to the realities of Black Britain today.
Timings:
2-4:45pm - Learning and discussions
5-6:30pm - Time to connect & share food with those you have met (optional)
Why “Sesa”?
Sesa is an Akan word meaning to transform. The name reflects the spirit of the gathering — learning from our past to inspire and transform self🌀
