Join Leanne Mohamad for the third of our autumn monthly Ilford conversations.
This November, Leanne is joined by journalist and historian Taj Ali for a vital discussion on the rise of the far right - and the fight back.
Taj Ali’s work explores politics, social justice, and the resurgence of far-right movements in Britain and beyond. His writing has appeared in The Huffington Post, Metro, and The Independent, and he previously served as editor of Tribune Magazine. Renowned for his accessible yet deeply informed journalism, Taj connects the growth of far-right politics to wider struggles for democracy, equality, and community resilience.
Together, they will discuss the social and economic forces fuelling far-right movements - and how communities across the country are organising to resist.
The talk will be followed by an audience Q&A. This event is free and open to all.
