We invite you (or a limited number of you!) to a work-in-progress sharing of a new project of four musicians: The Rheingans Sisters & Rakhi Singh and Simmy Singh.
Tickets are Pay-As-You-Feel as this is a work in progress sharing. Suggested donation £10 but feel free to pay less or more.
Rowan and Anna Rheingans are BBC Radio 2 Folk Award winning prog-folk duo from the Peak District. Fellow violinists and singers, composers and colloaborators Rakhi and Simmy are best known for their work in classical, contemporary and experimental music. They perform together as a duo or with the genre defying Manchester Collective.
Rakhi and Simmy grew up in Wales before starting their careers as classical violinists at Chethams in Manchester, just over the hill from Rowan and Anna's childhood's steeped in folk music in the Peak District. Both sets of sisters have led a musical life not limited by one style but always seeking the richness of musics from new people and places. Now they are drawn to each others' music and drawn to make new music together…
This concert will be informal and they will share around an hour of the music they are currently working on together.
Doors will open at 7:45pm. Music between 8:15 pm and 9:15 pm.
