Citizen Science (CS) and Community benefit are the beating hearts of the DCC (can you have two?) If you've ever had a Transition Woodbridge bat-box in your garden, you'll be pleased to know that Mark is the driver of that excellent CS project. He'll probably talk about bats, harpy and other Amazonian eagles, but mostly he'll talk about their habitats and the threats they face.
Our Speaker:
Dr Mark Bowler is a spatial ecologist and science communicator with twenty years’ experience in wildlife monitoring, behavioral ecology and conservation research. He is Course Leader in Wildlife, Ecology and Conservation Science at the University of Suffolk. He started his career in the Peruvian Amazon, and continues to work in the tropics and the UK.
