The new year plant hunt - A citizen science treasure hunt for botanicals

Get ready for a fantastic afternoon of exploration and discovery as we become citizen scientists via the medium of wheres Wheres Wally but for flowering plants.

Warm Clothing: It’s winter, so make sure to bundle up!

Things that will help.

Hand Lenses: If you have them, these will help you examine the plants closely. Download the iNaturalist app beforehand. It’s a fantastic tool for recording our findings!

Families Welcome: We're encouraging parents to bring their children along. This is a great opportunity for kids to learn about botany while having fun!

Regular Volunteers: Our usual participants are more than welcome to join in this exciting activity and can access the tickets for free by using your member discount code.

What We’ll Do

- Explore the area to identify and record various plant species that are in FLOWER in winter.

- Contribute valuable data to the Botanical Society’s Big Plant Hunt.
