Join us in person at The Mind Tree Cafe for a relaxed, open chat about death. No agendas, no pressure—just good company and honest conversation. It's a chance to share stories, ask questions, and maybe see death in a new light. Whether curious or contemplative, you're welcome to come as you are. Grab a seat, sip your drink, and let's talk about the things we usually avoid.
A Death Cafe is a safe and confidential setting for people to talk about death and dying and what really matters, over biscuits and a cup of tea. There's no agenda - it's a discussion group where we talk from our own personal experiences and listen to each other with respect.
Death Cafes were set up by Jon Underwood in 2011, and since then there have been thousand's, in the UK and all over the world.
Please note - this is not a bereavement group for people experiencing profound grief - other sources of bereavement support are available.
The facilitators are Elaine Brooker and Jenny Joyce - we are both trained counsellors and old friends who spend a lot of time talking together about death!
