The Mike Dillon Band feat. Brian Haas delivers a fearless, genre-defying sound led by master multi-instrumentalist Mike Dillon (Les Claypool, Ani DiFranco, Garage A Trois). Critics have hailed his music as a "sublime elixir" that merges street poetry and post-punk sonic carnage. The band features keyboard powerhouse Brian Haas (Jacob Fred Jazz Odyssey), whose inventive playing locks in for a powerful, high-energy performance.
Photon plays compositions of keyboardist Jimmy Dunstan, augmented by the rhythm section of Dan Africano on Bass, Tim Wendel on Guitar, and Neal Evans on Drums. Blending sounds reminiscent of The New Deal, Medeski Martin and Wood, and Tycho, Photon will take you on a contemplative dance journey. Be ready for a night of infectious house beats and virtuosic instrumental story-telling.
The band has played extensively throughout Colorado and beyond, with notable performances opening for bands like The Bad Plus and Dopapod. Legendary musicians have joined the stage with them including Felix Pastorius, Chris Michetti, and Kirwan Brown.
