What’s happening?

The second edition of The Innovators brings together artists and technologists who are pushing the limits of creative collaboration with artificial intelligence.

From AI-generated films to machine-assisted podcast creation, a new wave of creators is using algorithms as partners – or rivals – in the act of imagination. But when machines begin to dream, where does authorship lie?

First up, David Sloly – creative technologist, behavioural strategist, and creator of Made in AI, the world’s first AI-assisted sitcom podcast – reveals how storytelling, curiosity, and automation collide in the making of real media. From MTV to machine learning, David explores how AI is transforming creativity and what it means for the people behind the stories.

Then, Brad Necyk – filmmaker, artist, and researcher – screens his AI-driven short Maladies of the Modern Soul, created with advanced generative video tools. Brad shares how he uses AI as both collaborator and challenger in the filmmaking process, opening new ways to visualise emotion, identity, and meaning.

Between and after the talks, join the Prompt Jam – a live creative challenge where the audience takes control. One minute. One prompt. No cutting and pasting. Generate your video and send it. The room decides the winner – and the winner gets cake, or wine, or both...!
