We see that 2026 is a significant year in aviation history. It represents 50 since Concorde’s first commercial flight and 80 years since London Airport began operations. Our loop is journey around the whole airport perimeter allowing you to view operations from the top deck of the local bus routes. The good news is that one of the bus services we use is the Superloop SL7. As well as the sightseeing, we review the airports early history, and its use of now defunct remote check in terminals.
We also feature some of the artworks situated at round the airport including one of the largest sculptures in the U.K. If you have ever wondered how the runway designations are determined, then these will be explained. At Hatton Cross we pause at one of the popular viewing locations to see the take off or landings - depending on the runway operations in use at the time of our arrival.
We highlight the work of Big Jet TV which will allow you to improve your knowledge of Heathrow’s operations or at least be entertained by the commentary of the presenter. Our refreshment stop will be at terminal 5.
The tour officially ends back at the Central Bus Station. Who knows what surprises will be in store on the day as a trip to one of the worlds busiest international airports can only ever be exciting. Remember to bring your contactless cards to cover the bus fares.
