Enjoy an exceptional candlelit classical performance in the beautiful candlelit setting of St Mary le Strand

Step into the golden glow of candlelight and continue the journey with the next stop on our Grand Tour—a concert series celebrating the great piano traditions of different nations. This evening, we explore the profound beauty and intellectual depth of German piano music, in the exquisite surroundings of St Mary le Strand, one of London’s finest Baroque churches.

Internationally acclaimed pianist Caterina Grewe offers a powerful and expressive programme showcasing some of Germany’s most iconic and emotionally rich piano works. From the bold invention of J.S. Bach’s Chromatic Fantasia and Fugue, to the poetic lyricism and passionate complexity of Schumann’s Arabesque and the towering Symphonic Studies, this recital celebrates the legacy of German Romanticism at its finest.

Guests are invited to enjoy a complimentary glass of German wine as they bask in the beauty of the music and the candlelit atmosphere. Whether you're new to classical music or a seasoned concertgoer, this evening promises a memorable and soul-stirring experience.
