The First Four Miles, Buxhall New Years Trail

Get ready to take the first four miles of the year with us raising money for The Roy Castle Lung Cancer Foundation. Run, jog or walk, everyone is welcome to this community event. One foot in front of the other together we can work towards a cure for lung cancer. Start your year the right way with some fresh air and some Suffolk grub after!

Take on the scenic trails of Suffolk, there are three options available all finishing with a participation medal:

10am Children’s Race 1.5 miles

10.30am Main Run 4 miles

10.45 Ramble 1.5 or 4 Miles

Children’s Race, all children must be accompanied by an adult, children must be within an arm’s reach of an adult at all times and remain the responsibility of the adult for the duration of the run. Please note this is a trail run and you are likely to get muddy.

Dogs are welcome for the run but we ask that you start towards the back of the pack so speedier runners can achieve the times they wish.

Ramble, Everyone welcome, Ramblers will also receive a medal. On the route you can decide if you will take part in the 1.5 mile ramble or the 4 mile. Dogs welcome on the course, please ensure all dog mess is collected and disposed of appropriately. Please note the course is likely to be muddy and wellingtons are strongly recommended.

The course begins at Buxhall Village Hall, we ask that you join at least 30 minutes before the start time so you can sign your disclaimer and sign in. The trail is a loop so will finish at the same point. Food and refreshments will be available in the Village Hall along with our charity draw. Our event has kindly been sponsored by Buxhall Business Park and there are 50 extra parking spaces available at their site if you are happy to run/walk up to the event, additional toilets will also be open at the business park for your convenience.

Admission is required for all those taking part, 100% of your entrance fee will go to The Roy Castle Foundation as Buxhall Business Park have kindly donated our medals.

Parking at the village hall is limited but additional parking is available in the village and at the Buxhall Business Park, Buxhall Business Park Mill Road, Stowmarket IP14 3DJ
