Organised by Cardiff MedSoc, the 2026 Welsh Students’ Global Health Conference provides a space to engage with the global challenges that increasingly shape everyday healthcare practice.
Global health is no longer distant. Climate change, migration, pandemics, and health inequalities affect every patient we treat, now and in the future. This conference aims to empower the next generation of healthcare professionals to think beyond borders, act locally, and contribute to a fairer future for health.
The day will feature a mix of keynote talks, student presentations, workshops, and networking opportunities:
(The full programme will be released soon.)
Abstract submissions are welcomed from students and early-career researchers across all medical and healthcare-related disciplines. Submissions should align with one or more of the conference themes.
All abstracts will be reviewed by the conference panel using standardised criteria assessing clarity, relevance, and quality. Submissions are primarily for poster presentation, with selected abstracts eligible for oral presentation. Successful applicants will be notified by Cardiff MedSoc by the end of February.
Abstract submissions close: 17 February 2026
