What kind of event is this?

A Taste of Taboo is a kink event like no other.

It’s not a play space, and it’s not just a munch*. Instead, it's an intimate evening focused on exploring, connecting and creating space for sexual self-discovery that stays with you long after the night ends.

It's a clothes-on event without sex or physical play.

*A munch is typically an informal social meetup, often held in a pub or café, where people interested in kink gather to chat and connect in a casual setting.

What can I expect?

An evening of self-discovery...

You can expect:

• Talks and workshops exploring kink, desire and self-discovery, with options for beginners and those wanting to go deeper.
• One-to-one experiences with sex-positive practitioners, offering moments of reflection and insight (sex tarot, anyone?)
• Sex-positive brands and demonstrations, to discover your next tool to add to your desire box (both the physical and non-physical kind...)
• A goody bag full of treats, tips and toys...
• Time to mingle and connect with other curious people in a warm, welcoming setting
• A sense of community, and an introduction to the wider sex-positive movement that Kink Compass is building

This is a space for opportunity and discovery. There's no correct order of doing things. Watch a talk, mingle, discover...

When it comes to how you want to experience this event, there is no right or wrong (within the boundaries of safety and consent).

Who is this for?

A Taste of Taboo is open to anyone aged 18+ who is curious about kink, sex positivity and personal exploration.

We welcome people of all genders, sexualities, identities, bodies and experience levels. Whether this is your first kink-adjacent event or one of many, there is space for you here.

This is a consent-led, safety-first space. Everyone attending is expected to respect boundaries, care for one another and help create an environment where people feel comfortable being themselves.

A Taste of Taboo exists for people who want to explore kink without feeling judged or overwhelmed. It’s for those who want to understand themselves better, not perform for a room or fit into a scene.

This event is about slowing down, getting curious and discovering what resonates for you, whether that’s something new, something familiar or simply a clearer sense of your own boundaries and desires.

You’ll leave feeling more informed, more grounded and more connected (and maybe a little more turned on...).

Giving back

A Taste of Taboo is rooted in community, and that responsibility extends beyond the event itself.

10% of all profits from this event will be donated to a charity aligned with our values, supporting safer, more inclusive spaces around sexuality, wellbeing and self-expression.
