We will meet on Sunday 22nd March @ 10.50am at Garlinge Green Theatre to dance to a musical journey - starting slow with gentle melodies, building to a peak and then back down again. You can expect any musical genre you can dance to; from soft melodies to hard beats [such as breakbeat, jungle and dubstep] to music from the African and Asian continents to reggae and more tribal beats and many places inbetween.
A short warm up will be followed by an ecstatic dance journey from our DJ for the day, Martin. Afterwards we sit down together to have a lovely vegan lunch with time to socialise and relax.
Our first dance was in Oct 2025 and after each one we have received wonderful feedback from our attendees. They have told us how it's an inclusive, co-created, welcoming, safe, and family friendly space and we are so happy to see our community growing.
If you would like to get involved or feel you have something to offer please do get in touch.
Please read the information below to find out more.

Doors open at 10.15am for you to come to socialise with a tea or coffee in the Theatre cafe.
We ask everyone to get there by 10.50am for a prompt 11am start. We start with a circle where we go through some logisticsand it's really lovely to have everyone be part of it, so please try to be on time. We aim to
A family friendly dance space. Great music, space to move and feel into your self. The music will flow through different genres and tempos. Ecstatic dance is an opportunity to explore movement, connection and mindfulness.
We welcome families, however when the dance is happening, we ask young and older to move away from speaking and to respect each others spaces. There is time to socialise before and after and plenty of space in the theatre to find what you need.
Our DJ, Martin, will be filling our ears and hearts with his eclectic mix of tunes to move our bodies to. Whilst familes and children are very welcome, this will not be music aimed towards children, it will be a musical journey taking us through many different genres of music; from soft, flowing melodies to harder beats and many places inbetween.
Please see below for the practicalities.
There is plenty of parking on site but please ride share if you can.
The theatre has refreshments available, but they only take cash, so please bring cash.
Also, if you are buying tickets on the door, cash is preferred.
If you don't have cash, we will be asking you to pay through eventbrite.
We are a family-friendly space, but the music will be loud, so you may wish to bring ear defenders for the sound sensitive.
We ask everyone to take off their shoes, but if you need to wear them for health reasons, please bring a clean soled pair with you for smooth dancing.
Let us know if you have any other accessibility needs. The space is carpeted
All tickets sold prior to the event will include lunch after the event. You are very welcome to bring accompaniments for this to share. Or your own food if you wish to eat with us but have dietary requirements. Tickets after 12 noon the day before the event and on the door should include food, but to guarantee it, please buy your tickets before the cut-off!
Please note that the theatre is a vegan space, so we ask you to respect that and not being animal food products with you.
Looking forward to sharing some great music and lush food with you all.
