Stylin’ Out Network Presents: VERSUS VOL. 4 – THE JAM MASTERS

Versus is back for its 4th annual edition, celebrating the roots of Hip Hop dance culture through raw, unfiltered cypher energy. Unlike traditional tournaments with brackets or eliminations, Versus honors the original spirit of the dance: the cypher, a space where breakers come together to share, battle, and evolve through music and community. This is more than a competition, it’s a celebration of breaking’s core spirit. The music never stops, the energy never drops, and breakers from across the Midwest and beyond will step into the circle to trade rounds, build momentum, and push each other to new heights.

This year’s theme, “The Jam Masters” raises the stakes with two separate cypher jams in one day: crowning a cypher king and cypher queen with a $500 prize for each standout dancer, chosen by judges based on presence, creativity, and cypher impact. 

In addition, the event will showcase local vendors and creatives — a space to shop, connect, and elevate the community’s artistry alongside the dance battles.

Special Guest: DJ Nobunaga

We’re honored to welcome DJ Nobunaga who will be providing the soundtrack for the day. Hailing from The Netherlands, Nobunaga grew up steeped in funk, soul, disco, jazz, and Brazilian rhythms. A longtime presence in the breaking community, Nobunaga has spun at major global events like Red Bull BC One, Battle of the Year, Freestyle Session, and many more, and is the founder of the infamous Remember the Time Party. He’s affiliated with crews Extraordinary Gentlemen (EXG) and the acclaimed Japanese crew Ichigeki — bridging culture and cutting-edge sound through his sets. Expect sounds that honor the deep breaks tradition while pushing sonic boundaries, precisely the energy needed to fuel a cypher battle that never stops!
