True stories, told live, all about home.

Join Lede New Orleans—a community media hub transforming how journalism serves our city—for our first-ever live storytelling event, Storylines!

For the past five years, our Community Reporting Fellowship has trained 45+ young Black and brown storytellers to tell stories exploring topics like education, Black maternal health, youth abolition and other local issues relevant to the day-to-day lives of New Orleanians. Today, we see an opportunity–and have the drive–to create even more spaces where diverse communities can come together to tell stories.

At Storylines, we're inviting five local storytellers will share personal narratives in response to the prompt: “Tell a Story of Home. ” Inspired by our ongoing reporting on housing, these stories will explore what home means (and has meant) in New Orleans.

Dinner and drinks will be provided and all donations go towards support Lede New Orleans’ community media and training programs.
