See it to be it! Interactive workshops conducted by Women in Science, Technology, Engineering and Math careers.

STEM for Girls - Discover Your Future is presented by AAUW Lansdale Branch* in conjunction with Montgomery County Community College. It is a structure day of interactive workshops conducted by outstanding women leaders currently working in the STEM fields.

These professional women volunteer their time and talents to introduce concepts and inspire the girls at this critical age. The program geared to girls grades 5th to 8th creates a fun environment to excite girls with opportunities in STEM.The program on March 28, 2026 will run from 8:30 in the morning to 3:30 in the afternoon at MCCC’s Blue Bell Campus for a nominal charge.

Science, Technology, Engineering and Math or STEM education has become more relevant to developing the critical thinking skills needed in the high-tech workforce for innovation and invention. While STEM offers higher-paying careers, the lack of females in these roles is contributing to the gender salary gap. If less than half the population isn’t contributing to new ideas, we aren’t getting the best ideas.

PLEASE NOTE THAT SNACKS, WATER, and A SPORT BAG WILL BE PROVIDED FOR STUDENTS HOWEVER, STUDENTS ARE REQUIRED TO BRING THEIR OWN LUNCH

Parents are welcome to listen to the Keynote speaker, always an outstanding woman of STEM. The girls will sit with their group for the speaker. As the girls head to their first classroom session, parents are invited to stay for a separate information presentation.

*A AUW is a non-profit, non-partisan, fact-based organization dedicated to the advancement and equity for women and girls through research, education, and advocacy.

PLEASE, Do not contact the college.
