NEO JIALING

Neo Jialing is a movement artist and potato. Grounded by somatic, lived experiences, her practice is improvisatory in nature, led by curiosity, absurdism and vulnerability; moving when the whim takes ahold.

An active educator and creator for young audiences, Jialing helms the multi-disciplinary collective JAGA-EMOTE!, creating experiences for children to navigate body safety/ autonomy through play. She also facilitates ᴍᴜsɪɴɢ ᴛʜʀᴏᴜɢʜ, a body-focused open jam for a moving community to take time, meander and practice ecologies of care.

She writes sometimes, using poetry as a conduit for movements that are less obvious to the perceptible eye. www.potatinprogress.com
