Special Education & Diverse Learners: Parent Rights and Advocacy

This workshop is designed to support parents in understanding their child's right to a Free Appropriate Public Education (FAPE) across all levels of support. The session will explore how to navigate eligibility for English Language Learner services, gifted, and special education services and to understand school interventions like MTSS. Parents will gain an understanding of how to successfully navigate IEPs, GIEPs, and dual exceptionality, in order to establish powerful partnerships for equitable service delivery.
