Something Familiar is an intimate movement installation inspired by the choreographer's family in Ozark County, Missouri, with original music by composer and contemporary banjo artist Michael Rosetto. Dancers move through a make-shift living room in the petite gallery, and create a felt, personal experience of inhabiting a shared space. Through dance, song, and scenic elements, the piece explores real and imagined histories, genetic memory, and the pain and wonder of the ephemeral.
Gallery performances run through February 15th, 10 seats per show, limited engagement.
