World Poetry Slam Champion Harry Baker brings his beloved podcast to life in his beloved Margate with a different special guest each month.

Hey friends.

It went so well last time we're doing it again !

One year in with the best live audience in the business and we know it works, so we're back for more! Each month a different guest joins World Poetry Slam Champion Harry Baker and we share something old, something new, Something Borrowed, and something blue. Sometimes poems, sometimes music, always a good time.

We are well and truly bedded in in our new home which has had a glow up over the summer, and what better way to continue the new season than returning to ARK Cliftonville with Special Guest and returning fave Georgie Jones

As well as some chat and performance from me and Georgie, there will be an open mic where you are welcome to come and perform a poem or song (either your own or Something Borrowed (!)

Harry Baker is the World Poetry Slam Champion and champion of the people. His TED Talks have been watched by millions of people and translated into over 20 different languages. He has three books published with Burning Eye and his newest collection, Tender, is out in March 2026 that we will be touring to anywhere that will have him. He loves Margate and bangs on about it so much in his poems someone thought he was Margate Poet Laureate. He didn't correct them.

Georgie Jones is a poet and performer known for her humour and heart. Praised for her ‘formidable stage presence and compelling way with words’ (Reviews Hub) Georgie’s work captures the exquisite messiness of modern existence and makes the chaos feel, somehow, quite comfortable. Whether on stage or on the page, her poetry is equal parts confession booth, comedy sketch and cuddle. Her debut collection And The World Spins Anyway is a love letter to real life, however it shows up; an antidote to the highlight reel that is social media, a tribute to the unfinished, the unfiltered, the uncertain.

ARK Cliftonville is Former Synagogue turned cultural space and graciously welcomed us when we needed to find a space bigger than Forts, and now we love it so much they are never getting rid of us.

You are wonderful and if you've read this far you are absolutely my kind of person, so I would love to see you there. As with all my shows there is an option for a free ticket if you can't afford to pay for one in this moment, no questions asked. Please book in advance to settle my nerves about whether anyone will turn up (they always do!) x
