Solar for Schools has a mission to educate the next generation on energy and decarbonisation through the installation of solar panels in schools, having already worked with over 240 schools to integrate solar energy lessons directly into their curriculum, in turn engaging over 80,000 students in sustainability projects, workshops and assemblies.
Following last year's successful event, the forthcoming annual Parliamentary Showcase brings together students, teachers, senior parliamentarians and stakeholders in both the education and energy sectors to demonstrate the value of solar panels as an educational tool to enable action-based learning about energy, environment, regeneration and decarbonisation in the classroom.
The event is also supported by National Grid Electricity Distribution (NGED), having entered into a pioneering collaboration with Solar for Schools to unlock £2.7m in grant support for schools in areas of high economic deprivation.
Please note this event is invite only.
