Our speaker's work frequently takes her into difficult areas: for example, she has just published a Housing Report detailing the issues that landlords and tenants face. She has also worked on high energy users, and how they meet their demands. As an architect and academic, she witnesses every day the impact that research has on future energy production and use.
Our Speaker:
Dr Alison Pooley leads the Sustainable Healthy Communities research theme within the Suffolk Sustainability Institute at the University of Suffolk. With a background in architecture, her research focuses on housing equity, challenges in the private rented sector, homes for ageing populations, and retrofitting for resilience. Drawing on extensive academic and professional experience, Alison’s work places an emphasis on creating healthy, sustainable communities and transforming practice to meet environmental imperatives.
