Description:

Slow Stitch is a mindful, contemplative craft and unhurried process using stitch as meditation. Slow Stitch Collage brings the mediative handwork to the next step in their contemplative creative process. We will compose a small fabric collage using upcycled and repurposed fabrics. We will play with the qualities evoked through stitch and discuss how to approach a composition while keeping focus on the process not the product. Familiarity with slow stitch and using a needle and thread requested.

Bring to class: Materials fee includes all materials, including variety of fabrics, hand sewing needles, cotton threads and cotton batting. Consider bringing your small sewing scissors and any material you wish to include in your collage.
